The Howard County Arts Council is currently accepting applications for its FY23 Community Arts Development Grant Program. The Community Arts Development Grant funds the day-to-day operations of county arts organizations, as well as arts-related projects for new arts organizations or non-arts groups.

HCAC is a private, nonprofit organization established to serve and enrich the Howard County community by encouraging the arts, artists, and arts organizations. To carry out its mission, the HCAC provides operating and project grants to eligible organizations. The HCAC is committed to helping to promote, improve and strengthen the structure of community arts organizations by providing operating funds to established arts organizations and supporting the development of small and medium-sized arts organizations through specific funds to projects.
HCAC’s grant program is supported by grants from the Howard County government and the Maryland State Arts Council, as well as its own foundation, corporate, and individual giving initiatives.
